Notes from MFG: The Alma IQ™ is an advanced computerized skin-imaging and consultation platform from Alma Lasers.

It uses multiple specialized illumination modes and imaging techniques to show skin characteristics that

aren't readily visible under normal lighting. Alma says the imaging process takes less than 10 seconds.

The 10 modes include Daylight, Surface Texture, Pigmentation, Vascularity, Parallel Polarization, Cross

Polarized, True UV, Woods, 360 Grey, and 360 Light Mode. The different lighting/filter modes can make

pigmentation, redness/vascularity, texture, photodamage and other characteristics more visible than

standard photography

One of the more distinctive features is 360° Light Technology. Rather than simply taking a straight-on skin

photograph, it changes illumination and shading to emphasize facial morphology and features associated

with aging, including changes in volume, tissue elasticity and underlying structure
